Resin Infusion

Easy to Use, Efficient, Effective, Plug & Play Vacuum Resin Infusion Pump Stations

There are many advantages to using vacuum resin infusion and the resin infusion process yields high quality finished composites that are strong, lightweight and versatile. Vacuum assisted resin infusion moulding eliminates many of the problems associated with traditional wet-lay manufacturing. The Speedivac Vacuum Pumps are efficient at producing high vacuum pressure and it is this vacuum pressure that draws air from the vacuum bag, while also maintaining optimal vacuum pressure during the time required to cure the composite. Resin infusion should only be commenced once the dry system is effectively maintaining vacuum. A Vacuum Gauge is fitted to all resin infusion pump stations and is invaluable in indicating any leaks that may occur within the vacuum bag setup.

What is Resin Infusion?

Resin infusion is a closed mould process for producing cost effective, high quality composites through the use of vacuum pressure. Vacuum pressure drives a predetermined volume of resin into the mould where dry materials have been laid. The rate of infusion, or cycle time, is dependent on various factors, such as the distance over which the resin must flow, the resin viscosity and the amount of vacuum utilized.

The RIF3 and RIF12 Resin Infusion Vacuum Pump Stations are manufactured for resin infusion moulding and are suitable for a variety of resin infusion applications incorporating liquid resin and dry materials such as carbon fiber and fiberglass. Speedivac Resin Infusion Pump Stations provide a ‘starter kit’ for those looking to produce superior quality composite items with minimal mess or wastage, whether your requirements are to produce a one-off item or multiple products from a single mould.

Which Speedivac Resin Infusion Pump Station Is Right For Me?

The Resin Infusion Pump Station you select will be related to your specific application requirements.
The Speedivac RIF 3 Resin Infusion Vacuum Pump Station is a non-automated, compact and cost effective solution for smaller resin infusion applications.
The Speedivac RIF 12 ‘Auto’ Resin Infusion Vacuum Pump Station maintains a constant vacuum within the system. The Vacuum Pump switches on automatically when the pressure rises, eliminating the need for the Vacuum Pump to run continuously for the duration of the process. The benefit of this automated system is that it can also be used for vacuum storage applications requiring vacuum to be maintained for extended periods.

Features of Speedivac Resin Infusion Vacuum Pump Stations
